This movie follows my fire mage, Jhorxia, while she's killing and corpse-running her way from TBC through the early days of WotLK up to some time around the Ulduar patch. The movie contains

* World PvP exclusively (lies, there's a BG clip in the intro!)
* Mostly crappy opponents
* A few deaths
* Tacky cutscenes

There are two major traits of open world PvP that makes me prefer it over arena.

One is the randomness and surprises of the encounters. In arenas you always know what you get: the amount of opponents, their classes and you have a pretty good picture of what abilities they will be armed with (ok, multi-stealthers aside); you're also trapped inside a tiny cubicle where no one, friend or foe, can ever enter. In the open world of warcraft you never know when that paladin pops out of nowhere and kills you--or heals you :p

The second is the "anything goes" style of action you plunge yourself into when you start attacking things in the world. All your abilities are not necesarily prepared before the fight like in arena, but on the other hand you're also free to use every dirty tool you can lay your hands on. I don't have *that* many dirty tools at my own disposal; basically tailoring nets which i *do* use at every possible opportunity, especially against CloS'ed rogues and shielded death knights, but none of the clips feature them as I tend burn a stack as soon as I make it. Two of the core spells for deep fire mage PvP, Dragon's Breath and Blastwave, happens to be on very short cooldowns which is great for this kind of PvP.

World PvP is slowly fading out of the game--most of the prospective spots are filled with guards or easily fled by flying mount at the first sign of trouble. Many of the places featured in the early parts of the movies now have guards.

I wanted the movie to take off from TBC/s3 where the last one ended and move on to cover the time I spend ganking during the WotLK level-up frenzy. Unfortunately I deleted the bulk of my TBC footage as well as all my clips from level 72-80 in a clean-up accident and scrapped the project. After slowly accumulating some random level 80 clips I decided to salvage the remains of the project and this movie is the result.

The clips spans more than a year and my UI is changing a lot during the movie. I hope it's sufficiently clean to allow a decent overview.
